A fire outbreak that occured at no 10 Edinburgh road in Enugu metropolis has rendered residents homeless and destroyed properties worth over 100 million naira.
The Caretaker of the Building, Mr. Idika who thanked God for averting lost of life to the disaster told Pure News Reporters that the fire started around 10am.
Idika further stated that properties worth over 100 million naira was destroyed by the fire outbreak.
Also speaking, the CEO of Upright press Ltd, Engr. Justin Onwuzurike, who his office is located in the building stated that printing press equipments worth over 20 million naira was damaged by water used to quench the fire by officials of the state fire service.
In the same vain, Chief Mrs. Sally Egbogu, a UK trained Fashion and Designer and also member of PDP National Board of Trustees told our Reporter that the fire razed all her fashion and designing equipments worth over 30 million to ashes
A victim who identified himself as Mr Sylvester Nnaji, disclosed to PNR crew that his wife gave birth few days before the fire incidence.
According to him ” I am devasted and do not know what to do. I just rented this apartment a month ago and my wife gave birth some days back and now this infano came and ravaged all the properties in my house.”
Mr. Sylvester beaconed on the state Governor, groups and all well meaning individuals to help them to cushion negative effect brought by the fire disaster.
At the time of filing this report, the cause of the fire outbreak is still yet to unravel.
