Enugu Attack: Attackers Must Be Fished Out & Brought to Book: Police Spokesperson –Purenews Reporters

Enugu State Police Command today assured the public of their resolve to unearth members of the armed gang that recently attacked a police checkpoint around Loma-Linda estate axis of the state.

Purenews Reporters had earlier reported that a group of armed gang, on Thursday afternoon attacked a police checkpoint in Enugu Killing three policemen on the spot.

In another development, an Unknown gunmen had on Saturday evening, attacked a police checkpoint located at Amodo Obeagu in Enugu South Local Government Area of the state and gluesomely murdered four policemen on duty.
It was learnt that the gunmen stormed the police checkpoint in two Sienna vehicles and shot consistently for several minutes even after killing the policemen.

Some of the surviving policemen sustained heavy bullet wounds during the attack that eyewitnesses said lasted for about five minutes.
