Breaking: PDP Presidential Aspirants from South East Region meets in Abuja

•Resolves to work as a team.

All Candidates from South East region who have declared intention to run for the office of the president of Nigeria Under the platform of the people’s democratic party and have obtained the normination form of the party met in Abuja today.

Purenews Reporters gathered that Mr. Peter Obi, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, Dr. Nwachukwu Anakwenze, and Anyim Pius Anyim was in attendance.

Speaking with our reporter immediately after the meeting, Anyim Pius Anyim stated that The main purpose of the meeting was to find ways of working together to promote understanding, unity and collaboration among the four candidates and any other person from the zone who may later join in the race.

According to him, “we have agreed to work together as a team to ensure that a South Easterner emerges as PDP flag bearer;
He further stated That they also resolved to extend a brotherly handshake to aspirants from other zones.


“We intend to consult with other zones on this issue and it is based on fairness and equity and in doing so, it is important to note that we have always supported other zones and we now expect them to reciprocate.” the former Senate president said.

On supremacy of the party’s decision,the Former Secretary of the Federation stated that they are committed to working with the party’s leadership and party members from across the country to ensure that the founding principles and ideals of the party are upheld to reassure Nigerians that PDP is ready to rebuild and reunite the country.

Senator Anyim finally asks Nigerians to give the PDP the chance to fix the country, maintaining that meaningful development can only be experienced in the country by ensuring a United Nigeria
“We ask Nigerians to give us the chance to fix this country. Together we will get Nigeria to work again.”
